Don’t Miss – The Enchanted Garden – Our Winter Light Festival
See it to believe it …
The magic begins as you walk through the entrance gates and you are immediately transported into a world of light and wonderment. The dazzling laser beam display on Tramore House and a beautifully lit Magnolia Tree surrounded by candlelight guide you on your way. The transition garden twinkles as lighted pathways take you through the garden towards the grotto with it’s sparkling waterfall of light and spellbinding music.
Adults are mesmerised by the whole experience, while children of all ages are enchanted as they make their way through this magical winter wonderland.
This event is held every year in December to celebrate winter in the gardens.

The 2016 Event
We turned our Winter Light Display, on the 21st of December 2016 with music from the High Hopes Choir. The gardens were brought to life with twinkling lights creating a magically walk from the 21st to the 31st December culminating in a New Year’s Eve celebration at 4pm. (New Year’s Eve in Japan). The ceremony began with the Tramore Ladies Choir, followed by the singing of Hallelujah by Sofija Salmanova accompanied by her mother Anna, there was also gong ringing by Keith Guinan and Sonomi Leslie.
The winter light display was created by Every Event Waterford and run by the Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Garden staff.
